About the role

  • Work with project leadership and COEUS’ internal industry experts and other cross-functional partners to define project scope and develop approach
  • Collaborate with COEUS’ internal Industry Experts, consulting and function partners, and external subject matter experts to distill market intelligence into actionable insights for clients' strategies
  • Provide market knowledge by leveraging in-depth understanding of the Market Access (Payer, IDN, Provider Groups, Trade) landscape, healthcare reform, claims data and managed care data
  • Lead project task execution by ensuring progress, organizing project related findings and coordinating team meetings
  • Synthesize engagement findings, develop recommendations and communicate results to clients and internal teams
  • Monitor trends in drug coverage and reimbursement, existing and emerging government and payer policies, competitive pricing and contracting strategies, and potential barriers to provider and patient access
  • Support communication of COEUS’ thought leadership and innovation Market Access by researching and writing position documents for publication/dissemination by COEUS Industry Experts
  • Support sales by drafting proposals, RFP responses and SOWs for management review

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college
  • Master’s degree in business administration or public health or a PhD in a biologic science highly preferred
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in market access consulting, at least two of which have been in management roles
  • Ability to communicate very effectively both internally and externally, including highly complex market access concepts; both in writing and in oral presentation
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of: U.S. market access landscape (i.e., payers, provider organizations) site of care economics, patient access and drug reimbursement dynamics.
  • Unique challenges in drug reimbursement and ways of breaking through barriers to achieve access.
  • Drug distribution channels
  • Provider economics related to buy and bill practices and requirements to ensure successful launches of office-administered drugs.
  • Pricing & contracting strategy development and execution for retail and specialty products
  • Payer, IDN and channel strategy development & execution
  • Regulations and logistics of government pricing programs
  • Superior analytical skills combined with demonstrated expertise in strategy consulting in the life sciences industry
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills in virtual working environments
  • Strong project management skills including work planning, presentation development, quality control, and client management
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written and the ability to influence others
  • Bright, conceptual and a quick learner, able to quickly assess a situation and generate new insights and actionable ideas
