About the role
- Partner with cross-functional regional contacts to ensure that Red Hat’s sales, services, and partner audiences can successfully position and sell the Services Portfolio offerings.
- Where appropriate, design and build programs, tools, techniques, and templates to empower sellers and delivery teams in alignment with the offering positioning.
- Use metrics to understand selling patterns and opportunities; target evangelism efforts as appropriate (by geo, TDP, etc.).
- Understand customer problems and pain points through primary research and review of external and internal research sources (analyst reports, Red Hat customer surveys, etc.).
- Independently meet with Red Hatters (sellers, Portfolio Marketing, Services Marketing, Business Value Team, etc.), customers and prospects to understand their challenges and represent Red Hat Services capabilities.
- Summarize findings for review, incorporate into business cases and collateral, and share knowledge with others across Red Hat.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Red Hat seller enablement including product launch, Power Hours, and TSM-specific initiatives.
- Use metrics to evaluate and communicate the success of the Services Portfolio evangelism activities in support of Red Hat business development initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product or solutions management or marketing experience along with experience collaborating on and contributing to strategy, planning, development, and marketing integration for IT services and solutions
- 3+ years of experience in the technology industry, including specific experience in guiding adoption of emerging cloud and application technologies and practices, e.g., Kubernetes, containers, n-tiered application architecture, service-oriented architecture (SOA), DevOps, or microservices; consulting and services delivery experience is a plus
- General understanding of Red Hat’s portfolio and underlying technologies
- General understanding of hybrid cloud market, architecture, and the role of Kubernetes and containers in hybrid clouds
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts and initiatives in a compelling manner to audiences ranging in size, background, and responsibility to guide buy-in, adoption, and engagement
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, motivated, inventive, professional, approachable, creative, and analytical; competent leader and problem-solver
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or engineering, or in business administration with demonstrated technical expertise; master’s degree is a plus
- Flexibility to work in ambiguous situations and find creative solutions; start-up experience is a plus.
