About the role

  • Monitoring the accounts inbox and responding to queries
  • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Completing and maintaining supplier onboarding forms
  • Chasing unpaid invoices and managing credit control
  • Communicating outstanding balances to the Managing Director
  • Issuing client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Processing payments to suppliers and maintaining financial records
  • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping using Xero and LEAP
  • Generating and interpreting financial reports for internal use
  • Ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Liaising with the outsourced bookkeeper to ensure consistency
  • Supporting the future expansion of the role into costs management

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a law firm (essential)
  • Recognised finance qualification
  • Proficiency in an Accounting software package, preferably Xero and LEAP software
  • In-depth knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Highly organised, discreet and reliable
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
