About the role
- Oversees the daily pharmacy operations including interpreting physicians’ prescriptions and compounds
- Dispensing medications within regulatory guidelines
- Consulting with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions
- Handling complex problem resolution
- Responsible for managing day-to-day pharmacy operations
- Verifies prescribed medications are safe and appropriate according to professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal legal requirements
- Assists with fiscal management of the Pharmacy to optimize profits and control expenses
- Ensures and behaves with a focus on excellent customer service and clinical care
- Serves as designated Pharmacist-in-Charge to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
Requirements
- Normally requires two (2) to four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience in a retail/outpatient pharmacy practice
- A Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Unrestricted, current state license as a Registered Pharmacist in resident state is required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints
- Strong decision making skills

- Good analytical skills
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services and drug interactions
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Must have a general knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing solutions
