About the role
- Serves as the primary contact for physicians
- Communicates with patients and program stakeholders
- Educates healthcare providers on program services and resources
- Reviews patient charts and ensures documentation completion
- Takes ownership of the special authorization process
- Provides ongoing communication to physicians regarding patient status
- Adapts program elements to meet unique needs of healthcare providers
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) or related degree (BSc in Pharmacy or other Science degrees)
- Knowledge of public or private third-party reimbursement arena
- Bilingualism (asset for Quebec)
- Previous Case Manager experience (asset)
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Comprehension of medical terminology
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to engage with a physician and staff as a medical counterpart
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to collaborate with program associates
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and French (oral and written) for Quebec and New Brunswick provinces
- Detail and results oriented
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must have a private, dedicated home office space
- Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired driver's license
