About the role
- Provide education, counseling, and support services to individuals participating in court-mandated or DMV-referred Driving Under the Influence (DUI) programs.
- Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions.
- Maintain compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 9.
- Help clients meet legal and behavioral health requirements necessary for program completion.
- Foster accountability and recovery by helping participants understand the impact of substance use on driving safety.
- Support behavior change through evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with program leadership and state/county partners to ensure documentation, reporting, and client progress tracking meet all regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Certified or registered as a CADC-I, CADC-II, or equivalent AOD counselor credential recognized by DHCS.
- Knowledge of Title 9 DUI Program regulations and documentation requirements.
- At least 1 year of experience providing substance use counseling services, preferably in a DUI or outpatient setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working with court-referred populations or community corrections programs.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
