About the role
- Assist the Category Team Lead in analysing sales, margin, and market data to support category strategies and performance improvements.
- Prepare regular reports on KPIs, spend analysis, cost comparisons, and performance, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
- Support communication with suppliers and internal teams, helping manage product information, pricing updates, and promotional activity.
- Support standardisation and process improvement initiatives across all categories.
- Raise purchase orders for your key suppliers and manage and monitor order progress.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the category team, helping with presentations, meetings, and ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Understanding of procurement & category management principles.
- Good understanding and awareness of supplier management, sourcing process and contract basics.
- Awareness of service level agreements and how they operate.
- Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics setting within procurement is desirable.
