About the role
- Develop and execute the engineering department’s strategic capital plan aligned with company goals
- Provide visionary leadership to the site engineering team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Drive engineering excellence through best practices, standards, and continuous improvement
- Build and manage the capital plan in collaboration with site directors and stakeholders
- Ensure accurate portfolio execution planning, financial forecasting, and timely reporting
- Establish and maintain effective capital project management systems from idea generation to post-investment review
- Conduct thorough project reviews to minimize execution risks and implement risk reduction strategies
- Lead implementation and normalization of global engineering standards, technologies, and methodologies
- Ensure readiness of engineering documentation for regulatory audits
- Maintain adherence to quality management systems and relevant engineering regulations
- Oversee procurement of engineering items and capital equipment
- Ensure successful FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of facilities and equipment
- Drive vertical start-up of new assets and monitor KPIs related to capital projects
- Ensure capital project governance and compliance with financial requirements
- Facilitate reporting for regional updates, Capital Committee, and other requirements
- Attend project and factory steering committees
- Mentor and develop site engineering teams to build a strong talent pipeline
- Provide training on Capital Project Policy and Capex Playbook
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Regional Supply Directors, Site Directors, Global Quality, Health & Safety, Technology Engineering, and Supply Excellence teams
- Align priorities, resources, and timelines with broader supply chain initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering out of which 5 years leadership role in Engineering within the CPG industry or Pharmaceutical
- Proven track record of successfully implementing engineering capital investment programs
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of Vertical startup
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent presentation, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel as required
- English language fluency
