About the role
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing planning from material ordering to manufacturing planning and control for both factory and EMOs across Kenya/East Africa
- Run MRP with new EMOs to secure material availability
- Prepare SLA agreements with EMOs and drive the required service levels
- Prepare adequate production schedules/supply plans/requirement for every supply source – Factory & EMO and drive achievement of these plans
- Effectively plan operations across all local sourcing sites to ensure production requirements are met to maintain optimum customer service levels
- Inventory management- ensuring inventory is kept to minimum levels
- Ensure zero Out of Stock / Distress
- Ensure that the Supply Plan is executed as planned
- Ensure compliance & contribute to upkeep and improvement of Health, Safety & Environmental corporate policy/procedures & applicable legal requirements
- Deliver EMO PFR and OTD targets
- SLA setup with all EMOs and KPI's managed within terms of the agreement
- KPIs to be in place for all EMOs, reviewed and published every month
- Ensure strict adherence with Quality Management System(s)
Requirements
- Strategic Planning & Monitoring ability
- Stakeholder management: ability to build and maintain external/internal Customer relationships
- Expertise in MRP and MP
- Display sound judgement in difficult circumstances
- Able to drive continuous improvement at all organizational levels
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels with internal & external stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability and confidence to challenge, question, influence and negotiate
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Advanced in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Must be highly analytical
