About the role
- Own end-to-end HR operations for Rearc India, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance at all times
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable central and state labor laws
- Manage payroll inputs, reviews, and coordination with payroll providers
- Oversee income tax compliance related to payroll
- Manage statutory benefits and contributions
- Lead employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain employee records, contracts, amendments, and policy acknowledgments
- Draft, update, and enforce HR policies aligned with Indian law
- Act as the first line of defense for HR compliance risk
- Partner with global HR and leadership teams to translate India-specific requirements
- Support employee relations matters with a strong grounding in legal requirements
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of progressive HR experience in India, ideally supporting a global or US-based company
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Indian labor and employment laws
- Strong working knowledge of India income tax law as it relates to payroll
- Experience managing statutory filings, audits, inspections
- Strong coaching and listening skills
- Extremely high organizational standards and attention to detail
- Proven ability to build and maintain clear SOPs, checklists, and documentation
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (GreytHR experience is a strong plus)
