About the role

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 30-50 major gift prospects and donors
  • Serve as the primary steward of Salesforce for the Northeast team
  • Assist with grant management, events, book donation coordination, and other development priorities
  • Support the Regional Director in implementing the annual development strategy
  • Create donor-facing materials as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit development
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience managing donor portfolios and conducting donor stewardship activities
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, mission-driven mindset
  • Knowledge of or genuine enthusiasm for early childhood literacy, children’s books, or pediatric health is a strong plus
  • Experience with the Northeast philanthropic landscape is preferred.
