About the role
- Advance the Cloud FinOps discipline at RD Station by bringing deep technical expertise and a systemic business perspective;
- Design and improve solutions for measuring, allocating, and visualizing cloud costs;
- Ensure greater traceability of costs by labels/tags, services, products, teams, and business contexts;
- Develop automations and tools that reduce operational effort and strengthen continuous cost management;
- Support architecture decisions with a focus on financial efficiency;
- Identify waste, deviations, and opportunities for cloud cost optimization;
- Contribute to governance and the evolution of Kubernetes and cloud practices with an emphasis on economic efficiency;
- Make cost management more accessible, actionable, and reliable for both technical and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Cloud FinOps, working hands-on with governance, allocation, analysis, and cost optimization;
- Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Strong foundation in cloud architecture, with the ability to link technical decisions to financial impact;
- Experience building automations, internal products, tools, or pipelines focused on cost management and financial visibility;
- Mastery of cost allocation strategies (labels/tags, cost centers, ownership) and models such as showback and chargeback;
- Good software development skills to create solutions that facilitate FinOps operations;
- Relevant knowledge of Kubernetes, considering environments with containerized workloads.
