About the role

  • Maintain and configure the Datadog platform, working with APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, and synthetic tests.
  • Create and maintain instrumentation and monitoring automation standards to facilitate adoption by other engineering teams.
  • Support teams in the technical definition of SLIs and SLOs (Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives).
  • Develop strategic dashboards and intelligent alerting systems that reduce noise and focus on what matters to the business.
  • Act as a technical reference, providing mentorship and documenting observability best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with programming languages such as Ruby, Go, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools, preferably Datadog, or similar solutions like New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus.
  • Understanding of tracing, log aggregation, and metrics concepts.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with containers and orchestrators such as Kubernetes and Docker.
