About the role
- Lead product projects in partnership with senior product resources in areas of innovation, product positioning and product management
- Create competitive analysis of RBC GAM institutional & intermediary investment capabilities relative to their respective benchmarks and peer groups; including product positioning and designing for the right to win
- Generate industry trend analysis for US markets and client channels
- Business case development for several product initiatives: including new fund/product proposals, pricing proposals, product positioning, etc.
- Collaborate across several areas of business strategy: including sales and marketing, product innovation and pricing
- Contribute to product training sessions for client facing team members; focusing on positioning and differentiation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- at least 1-3 years of investment management related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects
- Desire to develop working knowledge of investment philosophy, investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk guidelines, policies and legal structures of relevant products
- Knowledge of investment product management or experience in investment analysis (nice-to-have)
- Track record of managing successful project teams with matrixed reporting lines (nice-to-have)
- Series 7 registration (nice-to-have)
- CFA level 1 or higher (nice-to-have)
