About the role
- Advise RBC and its subsidiaries on structuring and documenting complex third-party transactions
- Advise business and functional units on contract interpretation, legal risks and mitigation strategies
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and/or update template standards
- Stay abreast of applicable laws, regulations and guidance
- Assist in the development and ongoing refinement of RBC’s third-party templates
Requirements
- Law degree (LLB or JD) from a recognized law school
- Valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction where you will work
- 7+ years’ experience in corporate commercial contract drafting and negotiating
- Strong foundational knowledge of substantive third party commercial and legal terms
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to assess legal risk and identify mitigating strategies
