About the role
- Develop and maintain documents used by Investigations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and feedback, to ensure quality documentation is produced, which aligns with internal expectations
- Review any identified issues and assist in determining root-causes or potential impacts, and escalate to Senior Manager for follow up and or escalation, when necessary
- Assist in the management and maintenance of Community Connect pages
- Make recommendations on new processes, tools and services that can impact multiple projects and other work areas
- Prepare solutions to identify potential roadblocks raised by others in response to recommendations
- Accountable for keeping abreast of changes in financial crimes and related legislation and regulation affecting RBC’s activities and operations
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills, including MS Visio
- Attention to detail skills must be exceptional
- Extensive organization skills
- Advanced written communication skills (with a focus on grammar, sentence structure and syntax)
- Ability to work independently, with little to no oversight or guidance on day-to-day expectations
- Regularly exercise independent judgment of matters of significance within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions/approaches
- Demonstrate initiative and apply concepts, while exercising effective interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Undergraduate degree
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation (Nice-to-have)
- AML Investigation experience (Nice-to-have)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Investigations and related processes (Nice-to-have)
- Ability to create macros in Word and Excel (Nice-to-have)
