Full-stack Engineer

• Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of a system for managing deployed customer solutions at scale
• Work with a small, nimble team responsible for discovering and sharing new ways to rapidly build and release software
• Lead strategic architectural decisions, help drive alignment, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and observability
• Be AI-forward and curious—investigate, test, and apply emerging technologies to plan, execute, and validate projects, rethink processes, and share best practices that help the team work smarter and deliver more impactful solutions
• Actively participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions, sharing knowledge, championing best practices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of team processes
• Drive improvements by rethinking and reinventing our practices, processes, and systems to make them smarter, faster, and more impactful
• Identify opportunities to assess and enhance current applications, including refactoring code and upgrading technologies used
• Leverage modern AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor or similar) to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and raise the overall impact of the team
• Play a key role in transforming how products are built and delivered at RapidSOS by shaping and implementing new architecture that enables faster, more scalable, and more reliable solutions

Senior Software Engineer

• Drive Full-Stack Development: Lead the architecture, design, deployment, and implementation of new features for our public safety product(s), leveraging React, Typescript, and Python.
• Strategic Architectural Leadership: Lead strategic architectural decisions, drive technical alignment, and optimize applications for peak performance, scalability, accessibility, and the successful implementation of AI capabilities.
• Engineer Intuitive UX: Maintain and develop intuitive, user-centric interfaces for public safety systems, balancing aesthetics with practical interaction design, with a focus on leveraging AI to enhance user workflows.
• Enhance and Modernize: Proactively assess and enhance current applications, including refactoring code and upgrading core technologies.
• Ensure Product Reliability: Implement best-in-class software development practices (unit/integration/performance tests, monitoring, detailed specs) to guarantee products are highly reliable and fault-tolerant to operate in any emergency.
• Collaborate and Deliver: Work in an agile environment with stakeholders across Engineering, GTM, Design, and Product to develop impactful solutions, championing the use of AI to transform public safety.
• Champion Best Practices: Actively participate in code reviews and standups, sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of team processes.

Senior Software Engineer, Full-stack

• Build quality software by identifying the best sources of intelligence for our applications.
• Utilize RapidSOS’s vast datasets to build tools that identify performance patterns, track agent metrics, and generate insights that improve overall agency outcomes.
• Lead the frontend lifecycle for our AI intelligence tools, designing scalable patterns to visualize complex relationships, trends, and AI-generated metrics.
• Leverage AI tooling to build components across the stack, ensuring seamless integration between backend data logic and the user-facing analytical environment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the platform.
• Stay updated on AI advancements to assess their applicability to our mission of enhancing public safety.
• Actively participate in code reviews and standups, sharing knowledge, championing best practices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of team processes
