About the role
- Directs and coordinates activities concerned with continuous improvement of all SEZ plant related activities
- Confers with management to establish continuous improvement goals/objectives
- Identify areas with other functional leaders, employees, and customers to develop significant lean opportunities for improvement
- Network with internal/external resources to bring best practices to lean projects
- Facilitate and lead the continuous improvement process
- Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring project goals
- Engage the plant leadership team in setting and achieving goals utilizing Kaizen/Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Create metrics, deployment goals, and objectives to drive accountability
- Lead the implementation of Lean programs/Kaizen initiatives
- Coach employees to improve processes on their own
Requirements
- B. Tech / BE in Mechanical / Chemical Engg with six sigma certification or lean manufacturing processes
- Around 15-18 years of experience (Experience in Manufacturing plant preferred)
- Extensive experience in working with Kaizen initiatives in a plant level environment
- Proven exposure in successful implementation of Kaizen or similar QIP models (Lean Management, Six Sigma, etc.) with substantial improvement data set
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
