About the role
- Work with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates for various projects and change orders, including materials, labor, and other expenses.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information necessary for change orders and other cost-related items.
- Overseeing the change order process, from initiation to proposal to collection of payment.
- Maintaining a system for managing change orders, including tracking their status, history, and related documentation.
- Developing and/or revising processes, procedures, and work instructions to improve efficiency, accuracy and reduction of costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/finance/Accounting/Economics
- Attention to Detail: A strong attention to detail is crucial for accurate cost/change estimation and control.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and manage large amounts of data and information.
- Resourcefulness: Ability to find and utilize resources effectively to achieve project goals.
- Financial Acumen: A strong understanding of financial principles and concepts.
- Self-Starter: Takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently.
