About the role

  • Develop and lead the sales strategy for regional and specialty retail channels, aligning with overall business objectives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build and execute tailored go-to-market plans, promotional programs, and merchandising initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with other sales teams to ensure alignment, execution excellence, and responsiveness to channel-specific needs
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders to drive performance and long-term growth
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize investments
  • Represent the voice of the channel internally, advocating for the needs and opportunities of these retailers in planning and execution

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales, channel strategy, or account management, preferably within CPG or pet-related industries
  • Proven success leading sales initiatives across multi-format retail environments
  • Strong understanding of the operational and commercial dynamics of regional and specialty retail channels
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic mindset with a strong bias for execution and results
  • Demonstrated success in managing P&Ls, building channel strategies, and delivering revenue and profit growth
  • Category, market, and channel experience with a track record of applying insights to win in a competitive landscape
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external retail partners
  • Ability to travel up to 40% overnight as required
