About the role

  • Plan and conduct audits for web, mobile and streaming services using a mix of manual and automated testing, aligned with in-house standards and external frameworks like WCAG and the Accessible Canada Act.
  • Analyze and diagnose issues, identifying the root causes of accessibility barriers and assessing their impact on the user experience.
  • Create clear, prioritized reports that offer practical, actionable recommendations for our development and product teams.
  • Track bug fixes, validate delivered solutions and document any regressions.
  • Work with teams during early development phases (discovery, design and acceptance criteria definition) to incorporate accessibility requirements from day one.
  • Actively contribute to in-house documentation (guides, design patterns, checklists, examples) by enhancing existing content and proposing new tools.
  • Review public accessibility feedback and user testing data to help categorize issues and guide meaningful fixes.
  • Suggest improvements to our workflows and tooling to make accessibility testing more consistent and efficient across all platforms.

Requirements

  • At least three years’ relevant experience in digital accessibility, specialized QA or functional analysis for digital products.
  • Deep familiarity with WCAG (2.1/2.2) guidelines, WAI-ARIA and digital accessibility best practices.
  • Proven experience performing manual and automated accessibility audits/testing across web, mobile and connected TV platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize issues based on risk, user impact and the technical effort required to fix them.
  • Strong proficiency with evaluation tools (e.g., Axe, ARC Toolkit, WAVE) and assistive technologies (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA/JAWS, voice control or equivalent).
  • Understanding of Agile environments and digital delivery cycles (user stories, acceptance criteria, reviews, CI/CD, QA).
  • Comfort working in partnership with product, design and development teams; diplomatic and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to make complex issues understandable and positively influence teams.
  • Ability to work diligently and independently, be organized and manage priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of, or passion for, the digital media industry a definite asset.
  • Solid command of French; working knowledge of spoken and written English an asset.
