About the role
- Reporting to the Product Director, Engineering, you will join the Content Every Day product family.
- Create inclusive, engaging and accessible product experiences for Canadians, informed by clear, measurable key results and delivery expectations.
- Manage and deliver one of the backlogs related to CBC/Radio-Canada content production.
- Work with stakeholders, including directors, senior managers and production teams in the department, to identify the biggest problems to solve and the best solutions to employ.
- Proactively seek opportunities to maximize the value of the products under your responsibility.
- Champion transparency and regularly share reliable, relevant information to foster a culture of trust and strong collaboration.
- Set the standard for your team as a product-driven leader.
- Take initiative to resolve roadblocks before they become major risks, ensuring a rigorous approach to every project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Five or more years’ product manager experience (or equivalent), with a proven track record in product development
- Demonstrated experience co-ordinating work across multiple agile teams
- Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement
- Demonstrated facilitation experience
- Proven ability to assess and communicate trade-offs and benefits to support decision-making
- Proven ability to negotiate and align with stakeholders
- Knowledge of the media industry an asset
- Ability to actively foster an outcome-focused approach
- Demonstrable experience with scoping, planning and delivering complex and integrated projects to quality, time and budget constraints using agile methodologies
- Experience managing backlogs in collaboration with agile product teams, and proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Jira, Tempo, Confluence and key project management tools; ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Strong and consistent communication skills
- Ability to champion and support initiatives for improving accessibility, equity and inclusion in digital experiences
- Fluency in English and French required.
