About the role
- Travel throughout the region and engage directly with community members in the field
- Report to the Senior Manager, French Services in Abitibi-Témiscamingue
- Develop story ideas, pitching, researching, producing, and presenting content across all Radio-Canada platforms
- Shoot and edit video
- Contribute original ideas rooted in strong journalistic judgment to news programs
- Demonstrate strong skills in preparing reports for newscasts
Requirements
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to a university degree with more than three (3) years of relevant hands-on experience, or a college diploma with more than five (5) years of relevant hands-on experience
- Strong reporting skills
- Excellent on-air presence and energy
- Strong interviewing skills
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Ability to generate original story ideas and apply creative approaches to storytelling
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and frequent unplanned overtime
- Flexibility to collaborate regularly on radio programs, national television, and web platforms
