Design and grow Rabobank’s Virtual Machine platform for the future
Lead the design and evolution of the Virtual Machine (VM) platform
Work in close partnership with fellow Solution Architects responsible for related compute and infrastructure services
Ensure alignment on guardrails, standards, integrations, and shared functionality across Rabobank’s compute ecosystem
Guide the squad responsible for shaping the Virtual Machine platform service, driving architectural decisions, platform strategy, and technical excellence
Ensure security and compliance for VM services
Optimize for cost efficiency and operational excellence
Promote solutions higher-in-the-stack like containers

Requirements

Deep knowledge of and experience with Virtual Machines in Public Cloud (Azure, AWS) and on-premises environments
The ability to think conceptually and execute practically
The ability to translate the big picture into actionable steps and vice versa
Energy and joy in aligning with squads and engineers
Experience working in complex enterprise environments
Strong communication skills (in English) and a natural sense of collaboration
A structured mindset and the confidence to provide direction
Knowledge of security and compliance in regulated environments
Experience working in agile product teams
