About the role

  • System administration for VMware, Microsoft Exchange, MS Office 365, Citrix, NetApp storage, backup solutions and the telephone system
  • Design, installation and maintenance of our Microsoft server operating systems in a virtual environment
  • Ensuring 24/7 system availability
  • Participation in IT projects as well as cross-departmental projects within the corporate group
  • Handling incoming IT incidents at 2nd-level support
  • Supporting employees with IT issues across business units
  • Planning and coordinating external service providers

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or completed vocational training in the IT field, plus several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned area
  • Interest in a future leadership role
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Windows Servers and client operating systems, Microsoft Exchange, server virtualization (VMware), firewalls, Citrix and network technologies (LAN / WAN / WLAN / VPN)
  • Willingness and commitment to take responsibility and develop new, innovative and sustainable solutions
  • Strong communication skills, openness and friendliness
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (Wismar site) and availability for on-call duty
