About the role

  • Develop & oversee the merchandise category strategies and digital site programming to drive sales and customer engagement on the digital platforms (web and apps)
  • Lead the prioritization of content and resource requests aligned with business priorities
  • Collaborate with the broader Digital Commerce team and cross-functional leaders to deliver the sales plan
  • Lead the team to develop and execute the Category Sales and Digital Commerce Platform Plans
  • Lead the Digital Programming strategy including site & app Homepage programming, allocation of off-air real estate, including metas and apps, to maximize sessions, sales, new names, and the customer experience
  • Partner with other entities (marketing, merchandising, planning, programming, analytics) to drive allocation and enhance multi-channel shopping experience and increase customer engagement
  • Develop expertise in multi-channel shopping behavior and champion enhancements that improve off-air opportunities, deliver on advancing platform capabilities and increase user engagement
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans
  • Lead collaboration efforts to build and deliver on category merchandising strategies and platform optimization capabilities
  • Develop and manage compelling, multi-channel content to drive QVC key digital performance metrics
  • Analyze sales (both internal and external), traffic and customer trends to drive effectiveness of digital programs, events, and promotions and make recommendations for improvement
  • Represent eCommerce team in senior level strategy meetings; educating and sharing work and knowledge with the team and internal partners
  • Develop and sustain a high performing and talented team with the right skills and leadership competencies
  • Define team priorities and ensure structure and alignment exists to support and achieve established objectives across the digital platforms
  • Sets clear goals for delivering growth in digital platforms in QVC

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required
  • advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • 7 plus years eCommerce experience required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing/leading others
  • Must have deep understanding of eCommerce merchandising best practices and trends
  • digital platform tool management and optimization also preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing market trends & competition and identifying new growth opportunities
  • Expert level knowledge of latest Internet, mobile, video, streaming and related New Media technology trends, new functionality and market demands
