About the role
- Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, customer and vendor agreements, leases, licensing agreements, and other operational contracts.
- Compliance & Regulatory Support: Advise business units on regulatory requirements applicable to Quench’s operations, including privacy, data security, consumer protection, commercial, and employment related issues.
- Employment/Labor Support: Provide guidance on day-to-day employment law matters, policy interpretation, and HR Related issues in coordination with HR leadership.
- Litigation Management: Support litigation and dispute resolution, manage outside counsel, and oversee internal fact development.
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct timely research on legal issues affecting the business and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Policy Development: Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing internal policies, processes, templates, and compliance standards.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support the business in making informed, risk balanced decisions.
- Cross Functional Support: Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, and other departments, providing practical legal guidance to enable business goals.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.
- 4–6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including commercial contracting and corporate work; in-house experience strongly preferred but not required.
- Strong drafting, issuespotting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate clear and practical guidance to nonlawyers.
- Highly responsive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Comfort working in a fastpaced business environment and exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and collaborative mindset.
