About the role
- Provide expert HR and ER advice to leaders on complex matters including performance management, workplace behaviour, dispute resolution, and the application of HR policies and procedures.
- Partner with leaders and staff to proactively resolve HR and employee relations issues, ensuring compliance and supporting organisational objectives.
- Engage and influence key stakeholders to support effective people management and maintain strong customer-focused relationships across the business.
- Prepare documentation including reports, recommendations, correspondence and case records to support effective HR operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and business processes through accurate documentation and consistent application of HR practices.
- Coach and mentor team members, providing guidance on contemporary HR and ER practices and acting as an escalation point for complex matters.
- Conduct research on HR trends, workplace issues and emerging risks, and provide informed recommendations to leaders.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to build capability in HR policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Demonstrates a high level of skill in providing expert advice and assistance on HR matters, supported by strong knowledge and application of employment law, Enterprise Agreements and HR policies.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of contemporary HRM issues and their practical application within large and diverse organisations.
- Shows strong interpersonal and communication capabilities, enabling effective negotiation and influence at all organisational levels.
- Brings well‑developed skills in managing HR matters and leading HR initiatives.
- Applies high-level consulting and facilitation skills to identify priorities, resolve issues and build productive business relationships.
- Exhibits strong coaching, analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide informed advice.
