About the role

  • Develop and implement a company-wide occupational safety strategy that strengthens and continuously develops a sustainable safety culture
  • Define strategic and operational occupational safety objectives and support plants and sites in their implementation
  • Lead a national and international HSE/occupational safety team and actively develop specialists in their roles
  • Initiate and manage change processes to embed modern safety and health standards throughout the company
  • Plan, conduct and follow up on audits, risk assessments and accident analyses — including deriving effective preventive and improvement measures
  • Benchmark and introduce best-practice models from industries with mature safety cultures
  • Work closely with authorities, internal committees and co-determination bodies, including representing the company in relevant networks
  • Actively contribute to the sustainability and ESG-oriented corporate strategy, particularly regarding Health & Safety

Requirements

  • University degree, ideally with a focus on occupational safety, engineering or natural sciences
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in occupational safety and recognized qualification as a Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex change processes
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to provide guidance and assurance to diverse stakeholders
  • Analytical, business-oriented thinking, decisiveness and a clear results focus
  • High self-motivation, sense of responsibility and the drive to actively shape the safety culture
  • Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally, and very good English skills
