About the role
- Lead the implementation of systems integrations for the QuartzBio Precision Medicine Intelligence Platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain data acquisition workflows to ensure seamless data integration.
- Collaborate with customer IT departments to ensure successful integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients during the integration process.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of integrated systems to ensure they meet customer expectations and drive value.
- Be an expert in QuartzBio's Precision Medicine solutions from a technical perspective, understanding the architecture, constraints, APIs, features, etc.
- Build custom integrations and connectors as necessary.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with cloud operations, DevOps, product, and engineering teams to configure QuartzBio's solutions optimally for customers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for integrations, workflows, and system configurations.
- Come up with creative solutions to integration challenges and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including customer-side contractors, IT project managers, business partners, technical end-users, and executive leadership.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in IT systems integration and precision medicine.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in systems or data engineering, preferably in the biopharma industry.
- 4-6 years of experience working in a customer-facing role and leading projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools (e.g. project scheduling, budgeting, status reporting).
- Ability to write complex reports in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Provide expertise and guidance to team members.
- Lead and manage complex projects or functional areas.
- Actively contributes to the development of departmental strategies.
- Continuously improve technical skills and stay up to date with emerging technologies.
- Meets budgets and schedules for the entire project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Python or R.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale IT integration projects.
- Strong understanding of data acquisition workflow and IT infrastructure.
- Experience interfacing with systems such as EDC, high-performance computing, large-scale data, and commonly used data lakes and data warehouse systems used within biopharma.
- Experience with AWS and common data workflows involved in pharma clinical, translational, and basic R&D.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Experience with AI-driven data platforms and precision medicine is a plus.
- Experience with systems used across the pharma data value chain, including real-world evidence, wearables, large-scale omics, and clinical data, and understanding how to retrieve data from those systems is a plus.
