About the role
- Lead and mentor a team of test automation engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.
- Define and oversee the implementation of test automation methodologies for hardware validation and production.
- Guide the development and maintenance of object-oriented Python test frameworks to support modular and reusable test automation.
- Review hardware schematics and datasheets to support test planning and execution.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define, implement, and stabilize tester-DUT setups creating stable, reliable and repeatable product test flow.
- Drive software-hardware integration efforts, ensuring test environments are scalable, robust, and maintainable.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align test strategies with overall product engineering goals.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in hardware test automation
- At least 2 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Software or Hardware Engineering
- Proven track record in developing and managing test automation environments
- Strong understanding of hardware design, schematics, and datasheet analysis
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with expert-level knowledge of Python
- Experience with embedded systems and low-level hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIE, etc.)
- Strong hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies)
- Familiarity with production testing workflows and yield analysis (way to stand out)
- Solid knowledge in C and C++ programming (way to stand out)
