About the role
- Drive a culture of rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven product decisions that directly impact growth metrics.
- Ship features fast, measure everything, and iterate based on what customers actually do, not just what they say.
- Build and run experiments that move key metrics.
- Ship incrementally with multi-quarter roadmaps focused on velocity and customer impact.
- Hire, mentor, and level up engineers who thrive in ambiguity.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success to turn insights into action.
- Champion engineering excellence while maintaining startup speed.
- Set the technical bar for the team through code reviews, architecture decisions, and operational rigor.
Requirements
- 4+ years managing engineering teams (actual people management, not just tech lead experience)
- Deep experimentation expertise: Feature flags, A/B testing frameworks, statistical significance, experiment velocity
- Growth engineering mindset: You've built and scaled products using data-driven iteration
- Full-stack technical depth: 8+ years shipping production code, strong backend fundamentals
- Proven ability to build experimentation culture in fast-moving, fail-fast environments
- Experience with modern AI-driven development tools (Cursor, Copilot, v0, etc.) to 10x team velocity
- Track record using Figma + AI prototyping to go from concept to production in days, not weeks
- Background at high-velocity B2B SaaS product companies
- Hands-on experience with React and Python
- Expertise in experimentation platforms (LaunchDarkly, Statsig, Optimizely, Split, or similar)
