About the role
- Senior Field Service Technician testing, maintaining, and repairing low and medium-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor controls, and related equipment
- Provide technical capabilities for testing relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment, and related switchgear in the field, including synch check and point-to-point
- Perform and lead a crew in the field for testing/maintenance/repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and associated equipment
- Ensure proper preparation and documentation for site projects and provide daily site summaries
- Help evaluate department talent, identify training needs, and recommend action plans
- Identify and secure equipment needs for shop/field; provide weekly production status reports
- Attend project kickoff meetings, support budget adherence, and support the sales effort with labor estimates and job walks
- Continuously instruct and train others and remain current on all safety and technical training
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ related experience in power plants, industrial services, primary power distribution and related protection and control schemes
- Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems experience
- NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferred
- High School Diploma
- Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications
- Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
