About the role
- Monitor and manage the portfolio of judicial proceedings, especially disputes involving beneficiaries and suppliers;
- Supervise procedural deadlines and legal strategies with external law firms;
- Monitor strategic indicators and report regularly to management;
- Define defense strategies and handle strategic matters or cases with significant financial impact;
- Negotiate judicial and extrajudicial settlements to reduce the company's liabilities;
- Negotiate timelines and strategies with the legal teams of client operators;
- Assess risks associated with judicial and administrative claims, proposing preventive actions to mitigate them;
- Ensure implementation of policies and practices that prevent future liabilities, especially in cases related to injunctions and contractual disputes;
- Ensure continuous updating and monitoring of the case portfolio, maintaining the integrity of the legal department’s financial and accounting controls;
- Prepare litigation management reports and KPIs;
- Provide legal counsel to other company areas, especially operations, commercial and compliance;
- Respond in a timely manner to the needs and processes of departments that interface with the legal team.
Requirements
- Law degree with active registration at the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association);
- Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
- Advanced knowledge of sector-specific legislation, especially ANS (National Supplementary Health Agency) regulations and supplementary health law;
- Solid experience managing mass litigation and high-volume lawsuits;
- Postgraduate degree in Corporate Law, Health Law, or Civil Procedure (preferred);
- Familiarity with performance indicators (KPIs) for litigation management (advantageous);
- Clear and effective communication;
- Experience and skill in strategic negotiation;
- Analytical profile, results-oriented with a strategic vision.
