About the role
- Provide strategic leadership and coordination with partners, consultants, and contractors on the execution of on-site generation and bridging power construction activities.
- Lead oversight of construction budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, while delivering accurate cost forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- Direct and mentor construction teams across multiple on-site generation projects, ensuring rigorous adherence to safety, quality, and operational excellence standards.
- Champion project delivery by ensuring all milestones are achieved on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with defined scope and technical specifications.
- Oversee and de-risk the procurement, delivery and installation of long-lead equipment, ensuring readiness for critical path activities.
- Provide high-level monitoring and reporting of project progress, site conditions, and readiness for power delivery timelines to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development, refinement, and approval of scopes of work for construction and commissioning activities, while supporting strategic procurement and contractor qualification processes.
- Evaluate and validate contractor proposals for construction and commissioning services, ensuring technical alignment with project requirements.
- Assess and negotiate change order requests from contractors, ensuring fair pricing, contractual compliance, and minimal schedule impact.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of on-site generation or medium/high voltage construction management
- 3 or more years of experience running projects or related professional experience
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates, and Excel to create and maintain project budgets
- Knowledge of on-site generation industry partners and equipment manufacturers
- Technical expertise in High and Medium Voltage Electrical Design or Construction
- Ability to travel up to 75% as needed to support projects
- 10 plus years of on-site generation construction (preferred)
- Experience managing a large portfolio of work (preferred)
