About the role
- Provide strategic Leadership and coordination with partners, consultants, and contractors to drive the successful execution of on-site generation and bridging power construction activities
- Direct and manage the construction of multiple on-site generation and bridging power projects
- Management of partners and consultants related to electrical substation design and construction
- Lead in standardization of utility substation design, including distribution feeds to multiple buildings
- Manage budgets and cost forecasting of utility projects, including construction and equipment
- Develop transformer and equipment specifications
- Procure substation long lead equipment and transformers
- Procure and manage construction of multiple substation sites simultaneously
- Track and report on status and schedule of power delivery timelines
Requirements
- Five or more years of on-site generation or medium voltage construction management
- Five or more years of experience running multiple projects at the same time or related professional experience
- Knowledge of substation industry partners and transformer manufacturers
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
- Be able to travel up to 50% of the time or as needed to support projects
- Demonstrated experience working directly with executives and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization
- Ten plus years of on-site generation design or construction (preferred)
- Experience as licensed electrician engineer with focus on MV / HV work (preferred)
- Technical expertise in High and Medium Voltage Electrical Design (preferred)
- Experience managing large portfolio of work (preferred)
