About the role

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding for all entities, including overseas entities, and seeking approval where necessary.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid on time including contractors.
  • Ensure bank payments are recorded on the finance system.
  • Respond to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the purchase ledger inbox.
  • Process and reconcile intercompany invoices for all entities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the accounting system.
  • Set up internal projects on the relevant systems.
  • Process company credit cards.
  • Assist with the year end audit.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth business operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role within a commercial Finance department.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Strong time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Adaptable and agile in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to identify actions designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
