About the role
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding for all entities, including overseas entities, and seeking approval where necessary.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid on time including contractors.
- Ensure bank payments are recorded on the finance system.
- Respond to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage the purchase ledger inbox.
- Process and reconcile intercompany invoices for all entities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the accounting system.
- Set up internal projects on the relevant systems.
- Process company credit cards.
- Assist with the year end audit.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth business operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role within a commercial Finance department.
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
- Strong time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
- Collaborative team player with experience working across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Adaptable and agile in dynamic environments.
- Ability to identify actions designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
