About the role

  • Analyze and interpret CRISS mainframe datasets to support business and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.
  • Work with mainframe data sources (COBOL files, VSAM, DB2, JCL, etc.) to understand data structures and workflows.
  • Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of extracted data.
  • Support data mapping, transformation, and migration activities related to legacy systems.
  • Document current state processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and data utilization.
  • Coordinate with development teams for implementation and testing of solutions.
  • Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure business requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
  • Strong experience working with Mainframe systems.
  • Experience analyzing CRISS or similar legacy mainframe datasets.
  • Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 data structures.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, or reporting tools.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
  • Familiarity with data migration or modernization projects involving legacy systems.
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
