About the role
- Manage a portfolio of workers’ compensation claims within the Nominal Insurer scheme, ensuring timely, compliant, and effective outcomes for injured workers and employers
- Apply your knowledge of the workers’ compensation legislation and guidelines to assess liability, coordinate treatment, and support safe, sustainable return to work outcomes
- Work collaboratively with employers, injured workers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and internal stakeholders to drive proactive and customer focused claims management
- Maintain accurate and compliant claim documentation in line with regulatory, contractual, and audit requirements
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery
- Work within a supportive, purpose driven team environment that values collaboration, capability development, and high quality customer outcomes
Requirements
- Previous experience in workers’ compensation claims management with a sound understanding of legislation and statutory claims processes
- Strong influencing and relationship building skills, supported by clear, confident written and verbal communication
- A customer centric mindset, focused on achieving positive outcomes for injured workers, employers, and stakeholders
- Demonstrated resilience and sound judgement when managing complex, sensitive, or high pressure claims scenarios
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- A proactive, growth focused attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team setting
