About the role
- Support the development of the annual business plan for the portfolio and ensure its delivery
- Ensure team awareness of the business plan and its context for informed decision-making
- Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimize risk and maximize efficiency
- Establish and strengthen relationships with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrate an understanding of market dynamics and cycles to enhance business performance
- Continually develop expertise and technical knowledge through appropriate activities
- Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and personal authority
- Contribute to the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify new business opportunities
- Ensure accurate recording of entries on Division systems for data integrity
- Manage team performance fairly and in line with the performance process
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Underwriting experience in a senior role
- Leadership experience
- Converting analysis into strategy
- Customer centricity mindset
- Distribution experience
- Portfolio management experience
- Overseeing development of digital delivery
