About the role

  • Support the development of the annual business plan for the portfolio and ensure its delivery
  • Ensure team awareness of the business plan and its context for informed decision-making
  • Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimize risk and maximize efficiency
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrate an understanding of market dynamics and cycles to enhance business performance
  • Continually develop expertise and technical knowledge through appropriate activities
  • Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and personal authority
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify new business opportunities
  • Ensure accurate recording of entries on Division systems for data integrity
  • Manage team performance fairly and in line with the performance process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Underwriting experience in a senior role
  • Leadership experience
  • Converting analysis into strategy
  • Customer centricity mindset
  • Distribution experience
  • Portfolio management experience
  • Overseeing development of digital delivery
