Support client Project Managers by providing high confidence interval analysis on cost and schedule using earned value methodology
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules; perform schedule analysis to identify delays and propose corrective actions
Conduct cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis and propose corrective actions
Calculate and analyze Earned Value (EV) metrics to identify project performance issues
Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor and manage project scope to align with objectives
Track and manage project resources
Provide feedback on processes, metrics, and reports internally and with the client to optimize processes
Facilitate communication within the project team and assigned internal task forces and initiatives
Make rational, data-backed recommendations to influence project and portfolio outcomes
Ensure data integrity and accuracy
Guide and train new Project Controls Analysts in project controls processes and procedures
Remote role with occasional travel to client sites located in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and New Jersey
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, construction management, construction technology, civil engineering, other engineering, business management, or analytics OR related certification
3 years of related work experience in project controls, project management, construction management, or related field (with degree)
4 years of related work experience in project controls, project management, construction management, or related field (without degree)
Preferred: 5 years of related work experience in project controls, project management, construction management, or related field
Experience using Excel for data analysis, including vlookups, xlookups and pivot tables
Ability to use Primavera P6 / Oracle Primavera Cloud to create and maintain CPM schedules and build/maintain EVM schedules through closeout
Knowledge of EVM and client reporting requirements and ability to adhere to them
Experience with other job-related software tools (example: SAP, Oracle suite) (preferred)
Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills (preferred)
Willingness and ability to effectively multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
Knowledge of the Construction and/or Utilities industries (preferred)
Residency within the client's footprint of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, or New Jersey (preferred)
Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites in OH, PA, MD, WV, and NJ
