About the role

  • Lead responsibility within the legal team for monitoring and ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable regulatory regimes around the world, including in particular GDPR and privacy regulation, regulation of AI and data use, anti-bribery, international sanctions, money laundering and KYC requirements.
  • Developing internal audits and corporate compliance programs (e.g. employment, GDPR, AI), as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and performing internal training on legal issues (GDPR, Compliance, etc.).
  • Providing legal research and updates on changes to applicable laws and regulations (e.g., Data Act, Digital Omnibus, NIS2 Directive, ESG, etc.).
  • Monitoring and developing compliance tools – Trustworks (GDPR compliance) and Sigma360 (sanctions monitoring).
  • Actively participating in multiple cross-functional/cross-product project teams, dealing with complex matters in multiple legal areas with multiple stakeholders.
  • Providing different departments with legal guidance that enables achievement of growth objectives.
  • Filling and reviewing various legal documents to protect company’s interest.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and advising on all types of contracts with worldwide jurisdiction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional legal experience preferably in an internationally active company in the B2B SaaS space and/or in an international law firm.
  • Experience advising companies on GDPR and other regulatory compliance regimes.
  • Strong English language skills (verbal and written) is a must.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently, follow deadlines and effectively manage time.
  • Ability to understand the commercial and practical implications of regulation and develop workable and scalable solutions for compliance.
  • Ability to take a strong leadership in team and strategy development while being a hands-on teammate.
