About the role
- Buy-Sell Management: Strategically buying materials and selling, performing system transactions, managing material risk, improving agility, and ensuring supply continuity, and real-time collaboration with contract manufacturers.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, and ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer needs.
- Transportation and Logistics: Coordinating transportation and warehousing, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and developing strategies to enhance supply chain performance.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is generally required.
- Experience in a supply chain role, often with a minimum of 3-5 years.
- Relevant certifications, such as the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), may be an advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Organization and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software: Familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle), Google workspace tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
