About the role

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-native storage solutions that support business-critical workloads.
  • Architect & Design tailored solutions and develop Architecture Blueprints covering storage and backup workflows, high availability & disaster recovery, scalability and performance optimization, and networking & security best practices.
  • Deploy & Operate Portworx Enterprise in Kubernetes environments (OpenStack, AKS, OpenShift), configure storage integrations (Azure Managed Disks, Blob Storage, FlashArray), and ensure observability with Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Support & Troubleshoot as the primary technical contact for support cases and Requests for Enhancements (RFEs), collaborating with Portworx Support & Engineering for timely issue resolution and escalations.
  • Oversee Kubernetes cluster deployments, scaling, upgrades, and security (RBAC, encryption, network policies) while ensuring compatibility with Portworx and Pure Storage releases.
  • Partner with Portworx Account Management and Customer Success to provide insight into customer technology initiatives and identify opportunities to expand Portworx operational footprint and deployed use cases.
  • Identify opportunities for automation using CI/CD pipelines, tune Portworx and Kubernetes performance, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in storage, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on expertise with Portworx Enterprise and Kubernetes environments (AKS, OpenShift, OpenStack).
  • Strong understanding of containerized storage solutions, including Azure Managed Disks, Azure Blob Storage, and FlashArray.
  • Proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and escalation management skills.
  • Strong independent worker with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation (runbooks, installation procedures, troubleshooting guides).
  • Excellent customer engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with enterprise customers, support teams, and engineering.
  • (Preferred) Experience in enterprise environments, particularly in financial services or research organizations.
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC and compliance frameworks.
  • (Preferred) Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA/CKS) or Portworx Certification are a plus.
  • (Preferred) Background in automation and CI/CD for Kubernetes and storage deployments.
