About the role
- The Digital Experience Team (DX Team) is Puget Sound Energy's UX/UI and content management team. On a daily basis, we work to keep PSE's front-facing websites up to date. Over the long-term, we help to develop front-end designs and interactions for new or updated user features with wireframes, interactive mock-ups, and user reviews. The Digital Experience Analyst is responsible for the user experience (UX) design, visual design/layout, and content creation, updates, maintenance of the customer-facing website, customer-facing mobile app, and corporate intranet. This role also collects and analyzes information from business units to identify business needs, challenges and opportunities, as well as establishes specifications and objectives for user experience. Additionally, this role provides website, app, and intranet UX and content support after hours and on-call during IT software releases and emergencies.
- Job Responsibilities Prepare Business Requirements: Supports analysis of highly complex business processes, functions and procedures to help determine the business needs. Provides input on and interprets as-is and to-be business processes with guidance from supervisor to design digital user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) on corporate websites and apps. Agile PSE.com (website), myPSE (app), and intranet content development: Creates UX/UI designs of new features (wireframes, visual designs, mock-ups) with oversight from supervisor. Builds new features in appropriate content management system (Sitecore, Akumina, Sharepoint). Hands off designs to technical developers for programming, when applicable. Provides input, support, guidance to technical developers on the layout/design of new features with oversight from supervisor. Production support for PSE.com (website), PSEWeb (intranet), and myPSE (app): On request, creates, updates, and manages website, intranet, and app content using multiple content management systems (Sitecore, Akumina, Sharepoint). Work/Project Management: Assigned/receives requests from PSE business teams to create or update digital content or functionality on the Intranet, PSE websites, or PSE apps. Provides input on technical development and approvals related to user experience and user interface to ensure business requirements are met. Provides input on changes in project scope, schedule, and budget related to UX, UI, and digital content work. Provides input on work status for project management updates. Support for Releases/Upgrades, Outage/Storm Duty, and Quality Assurance: Provides support on website, SAP, and other technical releases, including after regular business hours and weekends, by deploying website or app content, enabling website or app banners/messaging, smoke-testing, and problem solving. Performs QA testing of new features/releases throughout the QA process across environments. Provides feedback to technical development teams during QA testing. Works on resolving content or design related issues identified during testing. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, user interface design, content management, business, marketing, or information technology or related field and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Knowledge in user experience design.
- Knowledge in user interface design.
- Experience developing, deploying, and managing customer-facing digital content.
- Experience working in a business environment and on large/complex projects.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written as confirmed through prior work and samples.
