About the role

  • Lead/manage mid to large deployments and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Support executive level expectations by providing internal suggestions to management.
  • Manage Workday full platform product implementations in the Project Manager role.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
  • Track issues and risks, communicate status, and escalate concerns.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Consultants working on their implementations.
  • Work with the client project manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
  • Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW.
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from professional services to product support.
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate a delivery approach, and develop a proposal/SOW.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in implementation experience as a project manager with HCM, Payroll, and Financials.
  • 4+ years as a Workday Engagement Manager at a Partner Consulting firm
  • Led multiple Workday platform implementations from start to completion, preferably within the public sector
  • Workday Local/State/Agency government implementation experience is required.
  • Higher Education experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office
