About the role

  • Define and execute the product development strategy aligned with business and market needs.
  • Lead regional engineering and R&D teams responsible for new product design and innovation.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through testing, certification, and commercialization.
  • Partner with commercial, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and can be efficiently produced.
  • Drive innovation in materials, performance, and sustainability in wire and cable technologies.
  • Oversee technical standards, compliance, and product quality requirements.
  • Manage product development budgets, resources, and project timelines.
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Develop and mentor technical leaders and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, materials science, or related technical field
  • 12–15+ years of experience in product development, engineering, or R&D, preferably in cable, electrical, or industrial manufacturing
  • Proven leadership experience managing large technical teams and complex development programs
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product standards, and commercialization
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams and translate customer needs into technical solutions
