About the role

  • Executing the final stage: coordinating the final routes for last-mile delivery, including on-site route inspections in coordination with other responsible logistics functions.
  • Checking dimensions of areas for truck access and maneuvering.
  • Monitoring implementation of all measures, including coordination with the transport provider.
  • Handing over shared laydown and transshipment areas.
  • Identifying critical actions from route inspections.
  • Classifying complexity and the time required for implementation, e.g., BETRA.
  • Agreeing costs for implementing these measures and, where applicable, following up with internal reporting and purchase orders.
  • Conducting supplier evaluations and reporting to the logistics organization.
  • Regular attendance at ISA meetings to coordinate items such as site and storage logic—to ensure cable drums are accessible.
  • Verifying the number of cable drums at delivery, storage and goods receipt.
  • Ensuring appropriate storage conditions for cables and accessories.
  • Equipment status — inspecting the condition of equipment including permits and certifications.
  • Managing the return flow of cable drums and cable waste.
  • Close collaboration with other areas of the supply chain organization to align and implement working methods and best practices.
  • Collaboration with project management and other key stakeholders.
  • Managing key subcontractors by maintaining relationships and coordinating on potential issues.

Requirements

  • Experience in heavy transport logistics, the supply chain or a comparable field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in project logistics and multimodal heavy and oversized transport.
  • Ability to influence implementation — assertiveness and persistence.
  • Very good German skills (C1) and English skills (B1) or higher.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office, preferably Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites in Germany and to project offices.
  • Proactive communication and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Team player, ability to work under pressure, strong conflict-resolution skills and a good sense of humor.
