About the role
- Research, analysis and summary of state and federal law
- Legal document review
- Contract review
- Pre-litigation complaint cases; escalated claims handling and inquiries
- Special projects with business clients
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant paralegal experience or equivalent experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm
- A bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program
- Solid legal research and writing skills
- Current proficiency in Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and Westlaw is a necessity
- Desire to be an engaged team member on a high performing team with a “can do” attitude
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to operate in a fast-paced environment; ability to work independently and handle confidential matters
- Desire to learn and be exposed to new areas or subjects
- Possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Previous work experience in financial services preferred, but not required
