About the role
- Preparing the quarterly investment forecast
- Analyzing both actual and forecasted results
- Presenting analysis to key stakeholders such as Business Unit Finance teams, the CIO organization, and Senior Management
- Focusing analysis on drivers impacting invested asset balances and investment income
- Maintaining a strong control environment to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reported results
- Delivering clear, insightful analysis to communicate the underlying story to stakeholders
- Partnering with CIO portfolio management teams to deepen understanding of investment portfolio activities and strategies
- Developing analytical models
- Preparing ad hoc analyses for senior management
Requirements

- Demonstrates working knowledge of investment securities and related accounting treatments (GAAP, RBC, STAT)
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or CFA designation preferred; MBA is a plus
- Strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting
- Solid understanding of investment securities and related accounting
- Experience with STAT accounting is a plus
- Reliable, accountable, and able to work under tight deadlines
- Effective collaborator and team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Displays leadership and talent management awareness
